Early Riazee by Naeem Khan evening gown, produced circa 1998-1991, prior to the launch of the designer's namesake label. Hand-beaded in India on black silk, drop-waist with layers of tulle, the gown features an intricate phoenix motif rendered in dense beading and sequins. Produced in limited quantities for the New York market, pieces from this period are rare and represent a formative chapter in Khan's early career.
